The Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, established in 1932 by Sir Dorabji Tata, the elder son of Jamsetji Tata, founder of the Tata Group, is one of the oldest, non-sectarian philanthropic organizations in India. Its vision of proactive philanthropy has been catalytic to the developmental works carried out in the country, while all its initiatives have had contemporary relevance.

The Lady Meherbai D. tata Education Trust awadrs scholarships to Indian women graduates of recognised Indian Universities to pursue higher education abroad. for the academic year 2011 -12.
Study Field :Social Work/Social Science /Education /Education and Welfare of Children with Special Needs/ Status-Health and Empowerment of women/Gender Studies/Children Health,Development , Nutrition.Health Policy and Health Education/Public Health Community Health Service,Reproductive Health/Rural Development Work (With a focus on Women and children)Communication for development (with a focus on women's issues).
Requirement :Indian women graduates from a recognised Indian University.Have a consistently remarkable academic record. Must have applied for admission /secured admission to universities or istitutions in the United States , UK or Europe for the year 2011-2012. Work Experience in the requisite fields will be considered an added qualification.Note : Candidates in part time ,short or correspondence courses are not eligible to apply.
HOW TO APPLY : The application forms will be available from the Trusts office at Mulla Hause,3rd floor,51 ,M.G.Road, Mumbai 400 001, India from Tuesday 22nd march 2011 to Thursday 21 st April 2011 . The deadline to submit the completed forms at the Trusts office is Friday 13 May 2011
